For Synology Surveillance Station

Your cameras, on the biggest screen in the house.

NasCam turns your Apple TV into a live security wall for your Synology NAS. It is also the only Apple TV app that plays back your Surveillance Station event history. No cloud, no subscription, and your footage never leaves your network.

What you get

Everything you'd open the app for, already on the screen.

Cameras and events at a glance

See your online cameras in one overview and move straight into recent motion and AI detection activity.

Scrub the annotated timeline

Move through recorded footage and use motion and AI event markers to find moments captured by Surveillance Station.

Focused full-screen viewing

Open another online camera in a distraction-free full-screen view, using the best available connection to your NAS.

How it works

Connect, sign in, start viewing.

  1. 1

    Enter your NAS details

Use your Synology NAS address and port, or connect with a QuickConnect ID.

  2. 2

    Sign in with DSM

Use a DSM account with Surveillance Station access. NasCam loads the cameras available to that account.

  3. 3

    Browse on Apple TV

Open an online camera for live viewing, or browse recordings and detection events when your account permits it.

How it compares

What NasCam does, and what it gives up.

Other Apple TV camera apps stream RTSP feeds you configure one by one. Synology's DS cam is a good app, but it has no Apple TV version.
